About Nuura Social Enterprise

Nuura Social Enterprise is a groundbreaking social business, led by women and youth, that was established in 2020 in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. Our mission is to ensure last-mile access to affordable water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), and clean energy solutions for underserved rural and pastoralist households. Our journey started with a small hygiene shop during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have since grown into a prominent WASH distributor in eastern Ethiopia. Through our expansive network, we empower communities by making essential resources accessible and affordable.
